Julien Racine is a multidisciplinary sound artist and performer based in Montréal. Since 2013, he has been actively self-releasing albums as Racine, Rabieto and as a member of Dolphin Dream Pyramids. Composing in a variety of styles ranging from techno to film soundtracks, his latest album Des milliers de fenêtres leans ambient in nature and marks his first release for Montréal’s Archipel Musique.

Eve is Racine's sophomore ambient record marking an evolution in his own personal stylistic workings, and offering a fresh outlook to an evergrowing Montréal-concentrated ambient/experimental music scene. Each of the four long form cuts present prolonged melodic segments and densely textured soundscapes contrasted by chopped sample based mutation and processed field recordings, all approaches reminiscent and echoing Hecker or Coverdale. There is an underlying atmosphere of devastation to this record, one that strikes you as you walk out into public life, and observe humanity in it's confusion and dangerous clumsiness.
